We tendered to Fidgens, a quantity surveying firm who we have worked with extensively, to win phase 1 of the works at Oakhill. Based on the quality and efficiency of our work, we were automatically awarded phase 2.
Working closely with Dry Architects and Fidgens, we completely stripped the interior and carried out major structural works and alterations to the core structure and layout of the building. This also included major damp proofing works to the pool terrace area which had failed.
Working again with Dry Architects and Fidgens on phase 2, we started to form the vital base build that would service the finished interior. The interior designers then played a major role in the design and, as weeks passed, we all worked collaboratively to resolve difficult issues in relation to the design, budget, and client requirements. There were a number of challenging issues that required a very proactive attitude to the situation, and we were able to swiftly provide prompt, viable solutions.
The project was tremendously successful, with an extremely satisfied client who declared that he would recommend others to us for what he hailed as an “honest, professional service”. We have since secured two more projects with the interior designers with a few very promising projects with the quantity surveyors and architects in the pipeline.
We now oversee this house in terms of its ongoing maintenance requirements to maintain the level of finish on practical completion and address our clients’ routine and reactive maintenance needs.
